Protection
Three times morning & evening — nothing will harm you
Bismillaahil-ladhee laa yadurru ma'as-mihi shay'un fil-ardi wa laa fis-samaa'i wa huwas-samee'ul-'aleem
In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth or in heaven can cause harm — and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
— Abu Dawud 5088
In the evening & when stopping at any place
A'oodhu bikalimaatil-laahit-taammaati min sharri maa khalaq
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.
— Sahih Muslim 2708
Morning, evening, after every prayer & before sleep — a guardian from Allah
Allaahu laa ilaaha illaa huwal-hayyul-qayyoom, laa ta'khudhuhu sinatun wa laa nawm, lahu maa fis-samaawaati wa maa fil-ard, man dhal-ladhee yashfa'u 'indahu illaa bi-idhnih, ya'lamu maa bayna aydeehim wa maa khalfahum, wa laa yuheetoona bishay'in min 'ilmihi illaa bimaa shaa', wasi'a kursiyyuhus-samaawaati wal-ard, wa laa ya'ooduhu hifdhuhumaa, wa huwal-'aliyyul-'adheem
Allah — there is no god but Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer. Neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth. Who can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they encompass nothing of His knowledge except what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and preserving them does not tire Him. And He is the Most High, the Magnificent.
— Quran 2:255 (Ayat al-Kursi)
100× a day — a protection from Shaytan until evening
Laa ilaaha illallaahu wahdahu laa shareeka lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa huwa 'alaa kulli shay'in qadeer
None has the right to be worshipped except Allah alone, without partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is able to do all things.
— Sahih Bukhari 3293
